The teacher gives the/a grade, based in your answer, if wrong or right (or compared against an answer key, say in a test from a workbook, etc).
The teacher grade your paper; say, a subjective student work at the University. Then it would go by some criteria, some expected standards should be met on such answers. For example, if they are realistic, if the student understood the statements of the question etc...
