For a student of teaching, for instance, we could say "supervised practice experience" or "supervised work experience" (here already in a work placement stage, I think). It's where the student try out the application of the theory in the real world, as explained in a site.
For an Engineer, it could be "an Engineering Internship" where he/she works for a semester or some other length of time.
Doctors would also have internships.
Your sentence, to my thinking, would be something along the lines of "the (teacher) candidate completed/finished X hours of Supervised Practice Experience (SPE) as required by the Board of Education, etc. But then, it's a guesswork of mine here.
