Gostaria de uma ajuda pra traduzir uma frase. "O leão só é rei até os elefantes chegarem."

As duas frases acima são uma tradução literal, mas talvez exista uma expressão idiomática que se refira a esse contexto.

* Na primeira frase, o artigo 'the' seria mais adequado devido ao uso de elephants' arrival, passando a ideia de elefantes em específico. Na segunda, "come up" não me parece uma opção tão boa quanto "come". "Come up" fala de aproximação curta, ao passo que "come" é amplo.

The meaning is clear, but the sentenes sound a little odd. No, I can't think of an equivalent in English.

The lion isn't king, but he'll do until until the elephants get here.
to show up = to appear
She showed up at noon. = She arrived at noon.
And don't show up here again! = And don't return!
