Eu diria que a tradução mais direta seria "to bear in mind", mas no contexto apresentado sua tradução ficou 100%

Before you go there, bear in mind that they are very annoying. [Antes de você ir lá, tenha em mente que eles são muito chatos.]

That preposition is useful here:

"You must not lose sight of the fact that there are other ways in which you can improve your English.

The pattern is of this kind:

In which ways can I improve my English?
In what direction did he go?

Sometimes we shift it to the end as a matter of convenience:

Which meter did you put the coin in?
Which class did you get into?
