I strongly recommend Oxford Dictionary English/English 'of course'. You see, each entry you look up you can find collocation, idioms, prhasal verbs, and so on... Everything together, I like that just in case you need to compare words. It is worth seeing, right!

Anyway, if you do want to use a collocation book, take a glance:

Just enter some word "bread" for example and it shows the common use of the word.
I've been asking native speakers of English about how they can manage collocation and the answer is always something like "We just do, it flows naturally, itjust like that seems to be right".
