On Sept. 28, 2012, in Nepal an airplane (flight 601) crashed after being hit by a black kite, a raptor. (bird of prey).
On Jul 20th 2024 a kite impacted a propeller causing also damage to the panel; fortunately, no pax injured.
Red and black kites, white-tailed kites are some breed you might hear about.
At this point you have realized that I don't mean kites the flying toys ("pipa" - no RJ, "papagaio" no NE do Brasil, "arraia/cafifa" ou mesmo "pandorga" ), but the real birds.
