Eu queria saber ao certo, quando pode ser utilizado o that, who, which, whose por que em alguns casos eles nao podem ser usados, e eu acabo me confundindo muito.
Por Exemplo:
Muito Obrigado!
Por Exemplo:
- Dave is engaged to a girl who he met in Colombia. ( nao pode usar o who nessa frase)
- Those are the guys that she was talking about. ( nao pode usar o that nessa frase)
- I like books which make me think. ( o uso do which esta correto)
- This CD which I bought yesterday. ( nao pode usar o which)
- People say that I complain a lot and that I tend to focuson problems and difficulties. ( o uso do that esta correto)

Defining relatives clauses
Defining relative clauses explain which person or thing you’re talking about.
Julia's the woman who/that works with me.
Julia é a mulher que trabalha comigo.
It's a book that/which tells you how to relax.
Este é um livro que ensina como relaxer.
That's the house where I was born.
Esta é a casa onde eu nasci.
That's the boy whose father plays for the Lakers.
Este é o garoto cujo o pai joga para o Lakers.
He's the man (who/that) I met on the plane.
Este é o homem que eu conheci no avião.
* To give important information about a person, place or thing use a relative clause = a relative pronoun + (subject + ) verb
* Use a relative pronouns Who/that for people, that/which for things, and where for places. Use whose to mean “of who/ of which.”
* That is more common than which in defining clauses.
* Who, which, and that can be omitted when the relative pronoun is the object, not the subject, of the clause, e.g., He’s the man (that) I met on the plane. (The subject of met is I, so it is not necessary to use that.)
