A expressão "get it over with" deve ser entendida como um todo, onde a junção das partes get + it + over + with não fazem sentido separadamente. Ou seja, não tente traduzi-las ou entendê-las uma a uma.
Get it over with serve para dizer para alguém fazer algo logo, não ficar demorando ao tomar uma atitude, acabar logo, principalmente quando se trata de algo desagradável.
