Remember that let and leave are NOT interchangeable. "To let" can mean "to permit, give permission, etc."
Let him speak = Deixe que fale Yes
Leave him speak = No!
Let it on the table = No!
Leave it on the table = Deixe na mesa Yes
It's late at night, I had better leave my homework for tomorrow. Yes
It was a little too hard so I let it for tomorrow. No!
If I leave it for tomorrow, It might be harder to do. Yes
Don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today. Yes
Don't let for tomorrow what you can do today. No!
I like Telma's "to put off until". There are other possibilities: to let it ride until, to let it slide until, to postpone it until, to let it go until, etc. If you use "to let", don't forget to use the entire idiomatic expression: "to let it go". "Go" is needed.

Eu acho que o pessoal esqueceu de um termo, um tanto formal que também é utilizado em algumas situações.
Procrastinate
1. Verb - to put off, to delay taking action, to wait until later.
- He procrastinated until the last minute and had to stay up all night to finish. [Ele procrastinou até o último minuto e teve que ficar acordado a noite inteira para terminar.]

I think you can say "I put off the homework for tomorrow", but left (Tomas, of course, give the best answer) sounds more naturally.

A related expression could be: "...leave (something) to another day.
Deixar pra outro dia - poderia ser usado como "deixar pra amanhã, " se o "amanhã" for indefinido (não indefinidamente, mas tipo "pra algum dia desses".
As in:
“The political aspects I'll leave to another day and someone else.”
"No, don't leave it to another day."
"Yes, let's leave it to another day."
In the sense of postponing for another day, adjourning, delaying, tabling, etc. But rarely postponing indefiniteily (excep when we don't mean what we say).
