In yet another context, and to the ones not versed into soccer/football or sports terminology, there´s also the following one:

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Aah! And it´s not over until the fat lady sings! (proverb-wise and if you aren´t overly conscious about being politically correct). It ain't over till the fat lady sings (informal way.)

Plus, "It ain't over till it's over." (Iogi Berra, the Baseball legend stated - referring to the baseball's 1973 National League pennant race. His team was an underdog and it did won at the end of the championship.)
