They adapt every time depending on the objections in the European Union, sometimes appearing to be stricter and sometimes more lenient.

Some authors have not new material to research so sometimes they separate genera, sometimes they put them together, without define criterions or just by pure preciosity.

O texto sublinhado indica o emprego desta conjunção.

Também vale para quer... quer.

Só um pedacinho:

Ela, ora ri, ora chora.
She, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying.

Onde se lê "... without define", leia-se "... without defining"

zumstein, you can drop the comma after "Ela".

Also, wouldn't we plainly write "She sometimes laughs, sometimes cries"?

She is happy at times and sad at others.
She is sometimes happy and sometimes not.
She is sometimes happy and sometimes sad.
She is sometimes happy and then she turns sad.
She is happy at times, at other times she is not happy at all.
She is hot and cold, ´cause at a given time she is perfectly happy...then/next she becomes sad/moody/have swings of mood etc. (is she ciclotimic?)

And other ways.

==============
Ela, ora, ri, ora, chora.
She, prays, laughs, prays and cries.

(Ha ha, only for the sake of laughs...)
