Uma frase bastante conhecida, pelo menos para aqueles que gostam do seriado chaves é ''...Teria sido melhor assistir ir assistir o filme do pelé''.
Em inglês : It would have been better go to watch pele's movie?

Sou um grande fã de Chaves, assisti alguns episódios em inglês, algumas frases famosas:
It happened without wanting it. (foi sem querer querendo)
low life. (gentalha)
shut up, you're driving me crazy. (cale-se, vc está me deixando louco)
you are not patient enough with me. (ninguém tem paciência comigo)
Quanto a sua frase, não assisti a este episódio em Inglês, mas eu diria:
It would have been better if we had gone to watch pelé's movie.

It´d (would) have been much better if I had gone to Pele´s movie. (the movie about Pele).
I'd have been much better *off if I had gone to Pele´s movie. (if it wasn´t Chaves, one would complete it with "the Biopic, I mean.")
*could be left out as well, without affecting the general meaning, but is a very common expression as it is.
