Diferença entre "to soar" e "to glide"
Ambos os verbos significam planar.
Qual a diferença entre eles e quando usar cada um?

Depends on the meaning.
Soar and glide can be the very same thing, if you mean "fly", taking advantage of the air, almost effortlessly. There is, "without moving wings or using power" per Cambridge definition.
Other meaning to soar, is to "rise quickly to a high level" (remember a kite?). Not so literally, prices/inflation etc can soar.
