Como dizer "Eu passei do tempo" em inglês?

Pra tornar mais claro o sentido, aqui estão algumas frases:

- Na prova de ontem, eu passei do tempo previsto e não consegui ser aprovado.
- Eu já passei do tempo de voltar pra casa!

Yesterday I took too long to do the test/the exam and I failed it.

Yesterday I took too long on each question of the exam so I run out of time.
To do the test/the exam and I bombed it!

Yesterday I took too long on each question and left some unanswered and I got others wrong. I failed miserably!

Oh, I am beyond my curfew!

I am too old to live at my parents' house.
I am past the age to live at my parent's house.
It's about time to flee the nest (being at the age of 51).
I am more than old enough to make it on my own.
