Other than that = Tirando isso / Com exceção a isso / etc.
Ex.:
He made a few slips, but other than that, his performance was amazing.
Ele cometeu alguns errinhos, mas, tirando isso, sua performance foi excelente.
O uso de "other than that" na frase apresentada soa um tanto quanto fora de lugar, mas transmite a ideia geral de mudança de foco (cinema para filmes alugados).
