You can use RECENT, I don't think of other word which is better to the meaning.

Atual: Current

He's the current mayor.

Nota:

Não utilize "actual", nesse caso. "Actual" significa "real", "verdadeiro", "de verdade".

I kept "loyal" to the grammar of that (essa - lá, alí), in English "that" and (esta - cá, aqui, perto de nós/de mim, no tempo ou fisicamente, etc). In this case, could be "this" or "that", though. Since it´s music and involves more emotion than reason when someone is talking about it.

Ah, and "...,but its lyrics seems timeless." (A music with that have that "Je ne se pas pourquoi" - I don´t know why, but it keeps passing down through generations.)

I indeed meant "Je ne se quoi" (I don´t know what), that is used to talk about something inexplicable in quality or something that is good but we are not able to explain why.
