Projeto Conversação - Parte 3
Rafael,
O oposto seria "one less": "one less lonely girl''(uma garota sozinha a menos) - Justin Bieber.
Sim, recomendo usar "one more time", "one more video", "two more people", "three more days."Second of all, I noticed a little "thing" on your video. I don`t know if it`s right or wrong but, you said in the video: "Lucas here more one time", "recording more one video".
I`m used to hear one more time instead of "more one time". I don`t know if the way you said it is totally wrong but It sounds better when you say one more time. Like this song - http://goo.gl/wJVSL

Hi there Flavia,
As to this "much more easier" Raphael mentions on his podcast, I did a quick hunt on the net and found out many accredited entries for "much + more + adjective" (for example "much more interesting"), which leads me to reason that at least colloquially that should be correct (yet in his case much more easy would sound better).
Hopefully some other members will help us clarify this matter. Let's wait

Thanks Flavia
Shortly after I posted my reply I found out my example refers to the adjective "interesting", which is a "long" one

Dlr,
Great tips!
As to the slow/ strong...Do you mean it is pronounced as though "estrong" and "eslow"? If so, it'd make sense since this "e" sound in words which doesn't have an "e" is something most Brazilians "struggle" with when pronouncing words beginning with "s". In such case, I usually try to practice by using the tongue twister "Sea shells sea shells by the sea shore" lol
Cheers

By the way,
Have you guys heard of the "Engrish Challenge" by someone called Izzy Nobre? It consists of a project with similar purpose to this thread, in that the main objective is that Brazilians showcase their English pronunciation, share it with others, get feedback and ultimately boost their English skills.
I suggest that you guys should check out this Brazilian girl and others who take part in this project:
(I have to confess I was jaw-dropped when I checked the girl on the video - her English is so good!)
(this video shows a Brazilian capable of impersonating a variety of accents)

Adir Ferreira? What an honor, uh? Congrats, Rafael!

Interview:"What about if I tell you that in the next step you have an interview in English?"
Rafael (very confident): "Oh, it's ok!"
clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap!!!
***
I'm afraid I won't be able to record any video soon because I'm on vacation
and very busy with packing, planning my itinerary, etc etc etc
Mr. dlr: We would love to see you speaking Portuguese as well.
Rafael, once again: Congrats for taking this initiative. And you can be sure we're all hoping you get this job.
p.s.: and congrats because your room is much tidier than Adir's

Suggestion: Instead of "I have sure", say "I am sure"
(yes, we have it! desculpa esfarrapada = desculpa-esfarrapada-t2396.html)

Very very nice Video Luiz ! Congratulations DUDE !
Jackson said you have a strong accent! I would say different, you have a tipical beginner accent. But, don`t worry about that.
Remember...How much more you practice, better you get. So, listen, talk, write and try to think in english! You you say something to your mom, for example, try to think how would be it in English. It helps a lot.
See you Luiz !
Se me permite:
"The more you practice, the better you get" - usar "how much" aqui é erro comum de nós brasileiros pensando em "qto mais..."
"try to think how it would be in English"

http://text-to-speech.imtranslator.net/
Logo, diga “Since Rafael had the idea...”
I do not feel ready to talk…
No final, "sorry for my mistakes". à propósito, leia: https://www.englishexperts.com.br/nao-d ... thank-you/
And we’re also glad that you are here.
