Care-taker e care - Tradução em português

Olá,
Gostaria de alguma sugestao de traducao para o termo "care-taker" e "care-taking" no trecho abaixo. Penso que "zelar" ou "cuidar" parecem ser boas traducoes para "care", mas nao tenho ideia de uma boa traducao para "care-taker" (zeladoras? nao me soa bem...):

The view of women as ‘natural’ care-takers not only harms women but also the larger natural world by reinforcing the view that Mother Nature will care for us despite the abuses we heap upon her. "
