One kind of false advertising is the bait and switch. The company says it is selling a very good bargain to get people into the store. They did not have many samples of the bargain product, so they run out very quickly. However, while they have you in the store, they hope to sell you a more expensive item.

My suggestion:

Deceitful advertising.

Attempting to produce an example sentence with "bait and switch" here. Here goes nothing.

The County of Orobó court prosecutor accused seller A of bait and switch practices on unsuspecting customers. Customer X, one of seller A's victims, says he walked in with hopes of acquiring a portable parking lot but, far from his expectations, he walked out with a fixed one, one in which he could barely park his mid-sized car.

Promotional rip-off. Rip-off fraud.

"Omigosh, another promotional rip-off... how pushy can these store department sellers get?"
"Pull a rip-off fraud on me, will ya? I'm taking microsystem X, not Y" !@#$%" >:-)

Rip off is very casual and is used a lot especially by young people who are upset about being cheated. I like you sentence Marico. It is very creative. Are you a lawyer?

Mary Ziller, no. I work as a bureaucrat for a government-owned hospital. Or "burocratinha" (lit., little bureaucrat) as my former American girlfriend used to call me.
