O que significa "alfie" ou "alphy"?

Vi pessoas chamando vestido de "alfie'', ''alphy" alguma coisa assim ... Alguém sabe o que é realmente?

If it was men´s fashion, I would say it was some clothes, creation of Alfred Dunhill (since Alfie is short for Alfred.), a British designer of clothes for men.
I think it has to do with aute couture and fashion somehow. If somebody was in a Christian Dior gown, one could say her dress is a Dior/she is dressed in a Dior.
