Condescending:
In Portuguese 'condescendente' -sometimes means to be accomodating, flexible, other times it means indulgent/lenient.
In English "condescending" means patronizing, an example would be a spouse hubby or wife helicopter that micromanages and/or monitors the other party. As per Oxford Dictionary definition: having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority.
