Como dizer "ela por ela" em inglês

A meu ver uma expressão que condiz com isso é neck and neck.

No Cambridge Dictionary mostra que "neck and neck" significa: If two competitors are neck and neck, they are level with each other and have an equal chance of winning.

"ela por ela" o Joao e o carlos estao ao mesmo nivel.

One way to express that is "one isn´t better than the other, João and Carlos are in the same league" OR "there isn´t any difference at all, João and Carlos are in the same league".
Neck and neck has a certain "at the moment" quality to it, granted that it´s not always but usually it has.

João's fine achievements stand on a par with Carlos'[1].

John and Carlos are on par with each other.

A more informal way to say this:

O João é tão bom como o Carlos, eles andam "a par e par".
John and Carlos are as good as each other.

Note: the opposite works here too:
They are just as bad as each other.

É "ela por ela" o João e o Carlos estão ao mesmo nível.
John and Carlos are like for like.

Mais uma (talvez fracassada) tentativa de dizer o que já está bem exemplificado:

J and C enjoy (doing) the same things. They wear the same clothes to lunch, the beach and the shopping mall on a regular basis. At any given time of the day, you will see them both driving the same car having comfortably maneuverable double steering wheels, double brake pedals and double accelerator pedals. During summer vacations they will board the same plane to the same chosen destination, habitually if not heavily frequent the same parties, the same 24/7 nightclubs and, oh yes, share the same bed.
