Correção de texto: Almost late

Today, my best friend and I went to school together. She had called me and asked me to meet her at the bus stop. We almost got late to class, because of the bus delay. The bus arrived at the bus stop at 7:50 and the class starts at 8:00. But, despite the delay, we got to class at 8 o'clock sharp. It was such a busy day!

Em alguns pontos, tive que imaginar o que você estava querendo dizer, como por exemplo: 'in front of'. Essa expressão indica em frente a algo que está do outro lado da rua. Como imagino que o ônibus pare no próprio ponto em que você estava, substituí por 'at the bus stop'.
Como sua amiga havia ligado antes de saírem e pedido que você a encontrasse, achei por bem usar o past perfect. Ah, e dizer 'the delay of the bus' não é incorreto, mas soa melhor 'the bus delay'.
