Em Português a gente generaliza: qualquer coisa presa na linha de pescar.
Ex.: Nesse lado do rio só tem enrosco, já perdi uns 4 ou 5 anzóis.

On this side of the river we've only gotten some bites (hits). I've lost 4 or 5 hooks.
Q-Any bites? Catch anything?
A-I've gotten quite a few bites within the last 30 minutes, but I can't get anything to take the bait. (swallow the bait) This morning I caught three trout and two bass. Something hit a plug this afternoon, but I couldn't land it. (could not bring it to the shore, into the boat)

Snag might work. A snag is a tree, stump, branch, etc. that is underwater. You are fishing, your line catches (snags) on something, and perhaps you lose everything. Note that a snag is NOT a rock or other obstruction. It is part of a submerged tree.

De sua resposta deduzo que não há tradução ao pé da letra p/ "enrosco".

Enrosco - Qualquer coisa em que se prende a linha ou o anzol no fundo da água. Daí a perdê-lo (o anzol).
Enrosco - Anything that holds the line or the hook at the bottom of the river. So to lose it (the hook). Ex.: rocks, roots, debris, dead trees, etc.
(No Google, enrosco = tangle) - The hook caught a tangle at the bottom of the river.
