I am going to be traveling soon and I am indeed going to take as few items of clothing along as humanly possible because some airlines have begun charging customers a fee per suitcase.

Leve pouca roupa sounds to me like it might mean "don't take many clothes with you," "Don't pack many clothes." "Just take a few articles of clothing." or "Only take a few clothes along."

Clothes and clothing are uncoutable, so we would say "some" clothing or "some" clothes or "a few" clothes or "not many" clothes.

http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/16213 is a poem about a red dress. I won't take many red dresses like that along.
