Question: Have you ever been involved in a car accident?

Answers:

- A lovely guy hit the back of my car once; fortunately he paid the repair;

- Crazy neighbor: “Flavia, I remember looking in my rear view mirror, and I couldn’t see your car coming…”
- Flávia: actually it was not coming, it was parked beside you… that’s why the superior part of the cars’ doors is made of glass, eh?

- I've never been involved in such kind of accident, fortunately.

Now it’s your turn!

My car, an old, '92 GL GOL, struck a utility pole on BR-101-South after racing against a white Fiat Fiorino. As I hydroplaned, my car slowly turned around, its wheel barely touching the ground, and it hit the pole from the rearside at some 90km/h. I walked out unscathed.

On driving back home from Garanhuns - PE, this big, double-decked bus scared me s***less. Whole nother story. Later.
I've been involved in accident a lot of times. Sometimes I was wrong, sometimes I was right. Nowadays I think it's almost impossible to say you haven't been involved in a car accident. There's a plenty of cars in everywhere you go. Fortunately, they always were slight accidents. I've never hurt me or hurt someone else.

Yes, I have. I remember that I was drunk after to get out to the party with my friends, it was almost 4 am when an accident happened involving a car and a motorcycle, When I noticed my accident had already happened, So I had crashed to the front car, I was lucky I was driving too slow because it was raining. Thereafter I never drove drunk again... it's a tip for all of you.
Not directly but I was with my brother.

He was driving toward our aunt's house on the Fernão Dias' highway and it was raining too much, when suddenly one Honda Civic braked on his front with its ABS2 brakes and my brother can not stopped his Celta because the road was very wet (Eu gostaria de dizer que o carro sofreu aquaplanagem, como falo isto em Inglês?).

For our sake his car was about 50km/h and the most important thing, WE WERE USING SEATBELT!

Folks, never forget to use the seatbelt ok?

See you.

ps: If a made some mistakes, please correct me ;)
I have been involved in a few automobile accidents and one motorcycle accident, but never one that I was my fault.

The worst automobile accident was when I was stopped behind a large truck and a woman talking on her cell phone and traveling at about 60 miles per hour (97 kilo meters per hour) in her small car hit the back of my Ford F150 pickup truck. The impact was so severe that the truck bed was shoved into the back of the cab and the seats in the cab were torn from the floor of the truck. I was very lucky to escape with just minor bruises, the worst was from my seatbelt.

One day, I was stopped at a red light behind a car on my Harley, when a woman did not see me and ran into the back of the bike with her Lexus, the bike sustained about two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) in damages, my helmet was broken and I escaped with with just a broken ankle, a sprained neck, and multiple bruises. She had the nerve to tell the Police Officer who was stopped next to me, in the other lane, that I had no business riding a motorcycle on public streets and that he should give me a ticket. It was really comical and every one there could not believe that she said that to a Motorcycle Police Officer.

I have never been involved in a car accident, but I can surely say that in three diffent circunstances, I had a real narrow escape. All of them happened on the highways, one on Raposo Tavares, other on Castelo Branco and the last one, I am not able to recall the name of it, but it was in Joinville. All I remember is cars crashing next to you, that sound you won't never forget and at the same time you trying to avoid crashing your car, taking your car out of the danger. I was in a cold sweat and saw eveything happening in the slow-motion; the car narrowly crashing on your car and crossing twice in front of your car and then crashing into the guardrail. In one of the accident, the worst one,in which there were more than five vehicles involved in, I could manage to escape from it changing to the passing lane. :?
After that I strongly believe I have a powerful guardian angel!!
No, happily I've never been involved in a car accident! I always pray in the beginning and end of the trip, and I think that's helping me =] But I always get afraid when I'm in the car on the highway, esp. on BR-381!
No, thanks God I've never been involved in any grave accident.

If you suffer, or suffered something like that, the secret is to keep calm and warm. The better way to solve any kind of problem is to keep calm.

Gustavo,

Please review my rewrite with five minor changes, and let me know what you think about it and if you have any questions. Otherwise your post is very good, and easily understood.

No, I can't drive yet... but I will start my drive class next weak, so I hope not to become a victim of this kind of accident.

You unintentionally wrote, "... next weak..." when you should have written, "... next week..."
I'm never been involved in a serious accident. Only one time, when I passed in a crossroad, unfortunally a rider crashed in my car, but we were slowly and only my car kneaded. I hope never be involved in serious car accident.

No, fortunately I have never been involved in car accidente, but there were accidents involving my father and one brother of mine. About the one involving my father, he was going back to home in the last day of 2002, after working a day long, and he was stopped waiting for the traffic light turn green, when a guy crashed on my father's car. The big deal wasn't the crash, to be honest, it was who was in that vehicle, the daughter's that man, who had mental health problems and started shouting a lot, very scared about the accident thing.

For my own luck, I have never seen any grave car accident! As some friends told before, frequently we are just victims from imprudence done by others.

See you folks!

Hi there,

Unfortunately, I've already been involved once. A drunk driver's crossed the road from a wrong position and has hit left door of the car I've been driving. Luckely, we've just had material damages. But, let me say it's not easy to stay calm in situations like that. It's one of the worst things to do! You must make an effort in order to not lose your mind! Well, as I've already written above, most important is that all of us in the car haven't been hurt.

Regards.
