Pessoal, me ajude aí com esse trecho!
"To feel the firm ground of prejudice slipping away is exhilarating," he writes, "but brings its revenges"; "I shall only," he promises later, "give you a run around, or rather a flounder around".
A minha dúvida é a última parte mesmo, "give you a run around, or rather a flounder around", nunca vi essa expressão e creio que "give the runaround", que significa dificultar as coisas pra alguém não se aplica nesse caso.
