Alone x Alive x Asleep x Awake: Qual a diferença
Hello guys
I have a serious problem here:
The adjectives "alone", "alive", "asleep" and "awake" have something in common, their first letters are "A".
I've already seen them only in the end of the phrases or in the middle after verb to be, like:
The woman is alive./ A mulher está viva.
My children are alone at home./ Meus filhos estão sozinhos em casa.
But I've never seen:
An alive woman./ Uma mulher viva.
Some alone children./ Algumas crianças sozinhas.
Can I use them before nouns to make senteces like these? Or they are used only after verb to be?
Guys, this problem drives me crazy, please, help me...
Thanks.
