Correção de texto "Life in Salvador"

Ola pessoal, eu fiz esse texto que retrata a realidade atual da minha cidade, no caso Salvador, para um trabalho do curso de inglês que eu faço na mesma cidade. Gostaria se fosse possível da parte de vocês que me apresentassem possíveis maneiras mais naturais de transcrever as mesmas frase.

Life in Salvador

I live in Salvador since 1991. I was born in Vitória da conquista and my family moved out to here(Salvador). Living in Salvador was so nice when i was younger, because the city was very charming and it had a lots of beauty. People walked in the streets with their heads up and people were so pround to be "baiano". But present days it's difficult to find someone who is satisfaied to what Salvador became. Salvador is unknown, when i walk the streets i can not fell more energy that i felt befor, it seems like the city has been torn down, either heavy traffic, or a chaotic public trasnport.
The heath public syste
m it is not different, in fact it was a shame since it's beginning. In reality it works only to corrupt politics stole our money.
On the other hand we keep paying a lot of taxes to the government keep doing nothing to change our lives. To finish it i do not know where it is going, but i know it is not a good place.
