Nuances entre usos de sufixos e prefixos
Galera, boa tarde.
Estava lendo esse conteúdo sobre sufixos e prefixos e fiquei com algumas dúvidas sobre certos pontos:
http://www.autodidak.com/sufixos.html
Para sufixos do tópico 2:
Há uma regra de quando se usar o -ist e quando usar o -i(na), já que não consegui distinguir entre os grupos de substantivos usados?
No tópico 4:
Tentei notar alguma diferença entre quando usar o sufixo -ance e quando usar -ence mas não notei. Alguém tem alguma dica ou sabe quando devo usar um ao outro?
Não sei se fui muito claro, mas agradeço a ajuda!

I didn´t quite understand the first part of your question, perhaps I am missing something.
Anyway here goes my comment on it:
Where you said -i(na) you should have said -i(an).
To be honest, I would spell -ian/-an as a whole, instead of "-i(an)".
The noun (substantivos) vs sufixes:
“mathematics” - mathematician *
“statistics” - statistician *
(*) referring to somebody that studies mathematics and statistics, respectively.
================
As for topic #4, it goes with experience.
With time and training you will know that there is a rule about sufixes, in wich is stated that a word
(the root) is accompanied by a suffix after it, in this case "ance"/"ence".
The question is, which one to use?
As I said, you know with time that you say/write "development" (not "developmance, or developmence"), and so on and so forth. And the same to the other examples there.
