Are you need? x Do you need?

Hi guys ..

Sometimes I still get a bit confused about how to make questions.. In general I understand "Are" as a to be which can means "Ser/Estar" and "Do" as auxiliary verb to make questions. However, in some cases, I get a bit confused, for instance:

Are you need some help?
Do you need some help?

I think both are correct, am I right? But, somebody could explain me about the first sentence? Why the first is also correct?
