It worth noticing that sometimes in Brazil, we use the verb "gostar" in a romantic sense (to love someone), that´s why the above sentences. Sometimes we use "gostar" meaning "to like".
So, in the "like" sense we can adjust some of them, for example:
The more time passes the more I like you.
The more time goes by, the more I like you.
The other way around, that is, the English words "like" and "love" aren´t so flexible as in Portuguese, although sometimes you can say that you "love something" meaning that you like it.
