Correção de "...mustn't touch the ball in with their hand."

O uso da preposicao "in" está correto na frase que segue? : A soccer player mustn't touch the ball in with their hand.

Drop the "in" and it will be correct: a soccer player mustn't touch the ball with their hands. or a soccer player mustn't touch the ball with the hand.
To the last sentence, one could say that it´s ambiguous and ask "so which one (hand) he can touch? But the sentence, to my thinking, is acceptable. It would be a bit on the idiomatic side, no one would sue you for it.

"with their" doesn´t go with "hand", I meant. The plural with the plural thing.
