There are or There are some

Gostaria de saber se sempre que usar o There are, preciso usar o some depois. Exemplo: There are some chairs in the kitchen ou posso dizer somente there are chairs in the kitchen? Como também There aren't any rugs on the floor / there aren't rugs on the floor? Posso falar dos dois jeitos usando com "some" e sem e usando com "any" ou sem. Ou sempre que for plural tenho que usar o some com There are e o any com there aren't, quando não tiver a quantidade certa. Obrigado
