Sei que a tradução da expressão to be better , seria estar melhor.

Mas quando essa expressão vem junto de for all ou with all, ela pode significar a ausência de algo? Vi que a frase: "I don't know, maybe he is better off with all the loonies.", traduzida, ficaria: "Não sei, se calhar ele fica melhor sem aqueles lunáticos."

Como ficaria esta frase?
