Survey or poll - Tradução em português

Good night everyone, I will try to speak english just for training, if I commit some mistake I will appreciate a correction.

Sometimes the author writes survey, sometimes he writes poll. However in the last sentence he mix survey and poll (survey poll). What does this mean? I thought survey and poll had the same meaning.

The real question:

Does survey has the same meaning as poll?
survey poll means the same that survey?
