How does "amarelinha" fit into the conversation? To me, it doesn't.

Recently I remember that one of the characters in "Happy Days" (1974-1984) had the nickname of "Potsy" or "Potsie". And I've learned that some people used that nickname to refer to squares (quadradinhos). Could that be compatible with the conversation? We don't have enough context.

It is quite possible that the word is "potty" and not "potsy". I don't know the word in Portuguese, but below is a website showing images of "potties".

I also have heard "Pottsy" or "Pottsie used as a nickname. Perhaps it is from the surname of "Potter".
