If you have some qualms about religiously, you could replace it for "regularly". Why I am saying that? Because it seems like, for some unknown reason, that people accept the word more when it means some "commendable" action, as in "He visits his mother religiously every week."
Whereas with "religiously" and "the cinema" in the same sentence many would have qualms.
Just pointing out, I am not saying that it´s a rule or something, just a passing commentary. Nothing serious about it, it´s not a "no no" after all.
