Como dizer "Faz um lindo dia" em inglês

Hey guys, how it's going?

So, I would like to know how to say "Faz um lindo dia hoje", "Hoje faz um Domingo lindo", something like that. It sounds so "Portuguese", but how can I say it in English? The biggest problem for me is the word "Faz". I don't believe that this phrase would be something like "It makes a beautiful day today".

Could any of you help me?
