SUCCESS é o sujeito na frase (terceira pessoa do singular). Esta é a chave!

One more thing that struck me when I read your sentences:
Study in silence, let your sucess make the noise.
To me, it has a ring of someone being in a library. So, a good advice. Shhhh!
Study on the quiet, let your succes make the noise.
Could be a piece of advice, to do it on the quiet, without telling anyone.
The end result, not flunking, or being succesful will speak for you/for itself.
Metaphorically, I think, the former sentence could mean the same as the latter, though.
