Raquel,
Veja alguns exemplos onde eu, pessoalmente, usaria "then" / "so".
1. Then
a. ''I'm a good father.'' 'Then prove it'. [não usaria "so" aqui]
b. If no one else is willing, then I’ll have to do the job myself. [não usaria "so" aqui]
c. Add the numbers together first – then multiply. [não usaria "so" aqui]
2. So
a. He was born in France, so he also has a French passport. [não usaria "then" aqui.]
b. So, you’ve finally decided to come with us? [não usaria "then" aqui.]
c. The house was dirty, so I hired a maid. [não usaria "then" aqui.]
Bons estudos!
