WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “CALL HER” AND “CALL TO HER”?
Question by Raul de Granada
Thank you, Raul, for your question! There is a big difference. One is correct and one is NOT! Which one?
Even though we use the preposition ‘to’ with a few verbs (listen to someone, talk to someone, tend to someone, appear to someone, etc.) the common mistake Spanish people make is saying ‘call to him’. This is incorrect! Practice the forms without ‘to’:
Call him to find out if he can be finished by March.
I called them to see if they wanted to come over for dinner.
Did you call her yesterday?
He’s calling you on your fixed line.
If you want call me here at our office and I’ll give you some more examples.

não considera certo "call to him".
Pelo pouco que pude observar na Internet, "call to him" aparece muito em websites bíblicos.
Alguém mais, contudo, deverá dar outras explicações. Vamos aguardá-las.
