So what was the first ride of your life?
My first ride home would have been Dad’s 1953 Pontiac Star Chief sedan. Unfortunately, I have no more details and no memory of it. The first car I can remember is a black 1957 Mercury Colony Park wagon.
Mine would be a 1966 442… The first car I remember ridding in was a 1968 Ford Galaxy 500.

Ride has several meanings, those you mentioned are some of them.
Ride means things that could surprise us as when "pants ride up when sitting" (as pernas da calça sobem quando a pessoa senta, deixando as meias à vista).
And in another sense is ridden (ride - past) "ridden" with something, as in "debt-ridden" or "ridden with dangers", etc.
