Como dizer "conversar pela internet" em inglês

Mais precisamente:
"Eu conversei com meus clientes pela internet." (qdo se usa algum programa tipo o Skype para se falar ao microfone com alguém)
Pensei em 2 opções: "I talked to my clients online" ou "I talked to my clients over the internet". Mas me soam meio estranhas.
Alguma destas soa natural pra vcs? Se não, qual seria uma opção melhor?
