In heard in a region of Brazil, they said "se não aguenta com o pote, não pega na rodilha."
They said "rodia", however the right pronounce is "rodilha", a rounded piece made of a towel, rags or any other clothes. Used to cushion the head and relieving the discomfort of carrying something somewhat heavy in it.

PPAULO, a pronúncia correta é "rudia." Aproveitando o tópico, qual seria a tradução de "rodilha" nesse contexto? Pensei em "ring-shaped cloth", mas parece ser mais uma explicação do que a palavra propriamente dita.
That´s right, would be "rudia". And you are right, there´s no way to translate it without resorting to explanations. One other way, to me would be "cushion'', a cushion to be used in the head.
