Como dizer "Verso X Estrofe" em inglês
Alguns dicionários atribuem a mesma tradução para essas duas palavras, mas gostaria de conhecer um significado para cada uma e que seja, claro, o mais utilizado.

Prá mim a palavra mais utilizada é verso. Nunca ourvi alguém dizer "diga (ou cante) uma estrofe bem bonita".
Segundo a wikipedia:
Verso, verse:
A verse is formally a single line in a metrical composition, e.g. poetry. However, the word has come to represent any division or grouping of words in such a composition, which traditionally had been referred to as a stanza.
The word "verse" is commonly used in lieu of "poetry" to distinguish it from prose. Where the common unit of poetry, i.e., verse, is based on meter or rhyme the common unit of prose is purely grammatical, such as a sentence or paragraph.
Estrofe, stanza, strophe:
In poetry, a stanza is a unit within a larger poem. In modern poetry, the term is often equivalent with strophe; in popular vocal music, a stanza is typically referred to as a "verse" (distinct from the refrain, or "chorus").

At least colloquially, people can easily construe it and probably use it in their own particular dialect or idiolect.jlmmelo escreveu:[...] Nunca ourvi alguém dizer "diga (ou cante) uma estrofe bem bonita".[...]
