What are your plans and ambitions for your education and career? Why?
I pretend to become a civil engineering, because my skill with math and science and for believe that this is a profession that have a direct impact in the people’s urban life.

I intend to become a civil engineer because of my math and science skills, and (also) because I believe that this is a profession which/that has a direct impact on urban life.
O "also" entre parênteses é opcional.
"Pretend" significa "fingir". Trata-se de um falso cognato.
"Engineering" é a ciência em si. Para se referir ao engenheiro, utiliza-se "engineer".
Acredito que "people's urban life" é ligeiramente redundante, já que "urban life" por si só já refere a pessoas.
