Ex: Is the meal/lunch done yet?
Ex: Is the meal/ lunch ready?
Ex: Is dinner ready?

I think your first example would be better if it was in negative form. Ex: Isn't the meal/lunch done yet?

Hi Cinnamon, I wasn't talking about the using of the "yet". What I would like to say is concerned about all the structure. I don't know if using "Is(present) and done(past)" is correct. So I thought the best way to put it all together in the same sentence was in the negative form.
Maybe using "had" is "more correct"
Please, correct me if I am wrong.

The structure of "it is done." or "is it done?" não tem a haver estritamente com presente ou passado, é tratado como Passive voice a voz passiva, que ocorre quando: maybe it is not important who did that, the subject (sujeito), but what was done (o que foi feito), or when there is subject but you want to highlight the fact not the person/people.
