Como dizer "Em tese" em inglês

O dicionário Michaelis define a expressão "em tese" como: em geral, em princípio, teoricamente, por via de regra. Com base nisso, podemos vertê-la para o inglês das seguintes maneiras (além da boa opção mencionada no post anterior):

In general: em tese
In principle: em tese

Exemplos de uso:

• In general, it takes about a month for the shipment to arrive. [Em tese, leva por volta de um mês para o carregamento chegar.]
• In principle, making the changes should be a simple matter, but there may be problems we haven't thought of. [Em tese, fazer as mudanças deve ser algo simples, mas podem haver problemas que ainda não imaginamos.]
• In principle, it should be possible. [Em tese, deve ser possível.]

Nota: A opção "in thesis" não é usada para dizer "em tese", neste contexto. Trata-se de uma tradução literal incorreta. Prefira as opções mostradas anteriormente.
