No x Not: "no fool", "no bettter" etc : Qual utilizar

Olá, eu estava assistindo a série GOT e veio a seguinte afirmação: "Any man who must say 'I am the king' is no true king."
Percebi que devia ser "not" ao invés de "no", não acham? Por exemplo:

I am not going home (I am no going home - é errado, claro)
Então, essa afirmação está correta?
